Aftercare
Boxes, Indoor Gifts, Non-Kitchenware
Non-kitchenware items such as Jewellery Boxes, Gift Boxes, Notelet Stands, Pencil Boxes, etc are finished in a Carnauba Wax or Beeswax top coat.
If need be, re-polish using a good quality wax such as beeswax. Do not use household furniture polish or any other sprays or liquids as these may damage the finish.
Kitchenware
All kitchenware is treated with a food-safe mineral oil and may be cleaned in a similar manner to any other tabletop, using a damp cloth and mild detergent. Never immerse in water.
Kitchenware can be sanitised after cleaning with a dilute bleach solution (1 teaspoon of bleach per litre of water) applied sparingly with a cloth. Treat regularly with a light coating of any good vegetable oil.
Toys and Games
Toys and Games are finished in a child-safe varnish or child-safe paint.
Outdoor Items
Outdoor items are finished in external wood treatment.
Disclaimer
Whilst every care has been taken to ensure that goods supplied by Maple Wood Crafts are free from defects, wood is an organic material and may be affected by changes in temperature or humidity.
This should not be an issue with household goods such as Jewellery Boxes, Gift Boxes, Kitchenware, toys, etc if kept indoors in a normal household environment.
