*Nut Allergies

Kitchenware is treated with food-safe pure Tung Oil , which  is derived from the seed of the Tung Tree, which belongs to a different botanical family than peanuts, cashews, and pistachios. There is some debate about whether Tung Oil comes from a seed or a nut. While it is possible for someone to be allergic to Tung Oil, it is not commonly associated with other nut allergies and is unlikely to cause a reaction in individuals with peanut or tree nut allergies.
